Tatyana Kobezhikova

Tatyana Kobezhikova is a shaman by birth; she comes of Akh-Khaskha (“White Bone”) kin, who exercised their healing practices on human beings and the earth, and held cultic ceremonies.

Grandmother Tatiana Vassilievna Kobezhikova (Khakas) is a well known Siberian shaman and a guardian of the Khakas culture. She hails from Khakassia, a mountainous region of Southern Siberia, from the ancient Mungat clan, Syoska Akh Haskha.

Renowned far beyond the borders of Russia and Khakassia, she collaborates with scientists, archaeologists, anthropologists, and psychologists on numerous projects. She was one of the organizers of the first symposium on astroarchaeology, an interdisciplinary study of astronomical techniques to establish the seasons, or the cycle of the year. She has helped to publish several scientific collections, and participates in many scientific conferences.

Annually she takes part in the International Ceremony of the Great Fire, where keepers of traditions and shamans from different countries of the world gather. Tatiana is also a member of the International Council of Elders, and, together with other shamans of the world, takes part in various environmental projects for the preservation and revitalisation of spiritual, rather than material heritage. She engages in a large number of ceremonies, rituals as well as enlightenment, educational and charitable activities.
